Mahindra XUV700 Waiting Period
Mahindra are already struggling with the Thar’s deliveries as it has almost 45,000 customers still waiting for their Thar, which went on sale a year ago. Only about 30,000 customers have take delivery of the Thar so far. At the current pace of production, we can expect Mahindra to take about 18 months just to fill the open orders for the Thar.
The heavy demand for the XUV700 is likely to create a bigger backlog for Mahindra. It’ll become interesting to see how much the XUV700 customers will have to wait to get delivery of their car. As the production ramps up, we can expect Mahindra to start rolling out around 5,000 units of the XUV700 every month to meet the high demand. You can also count on the carmaker to revise the prices a couple more times in the next 6 months to keep the demand in check and maximise profits.
